2013 FirstSwing Baseball & Softball CampsThe FirstSwing Foundation, a local 501c3 non-profit, is offering summer baseball and softball camps for youngsters 4-14 years of age in Everett and Bellevue - June through August. Each summer FirstSwing teaches the mechanics and fundamentals of the game, while focusing on the inherent “life lessons” within the game. Young ballplayers will learn the basic skill sets of hitting, throwing, fielding and the “mental game” as well as financial literacy, conditioning, manners, decision-making, goal setting, nutrition, problem solving, and more!! Camp teaches the youngsters to be accountable and responsible for their actions, and empowers them to be good productive citizens. EVERY camper will play games and be part of an interactive team.

Small Ball (Ages 3-5)
Even the smallest ballplayers can score big fun in this parent-toddler camp. Preschool-aged campers learn the basic skills of baseball. Parents learn helpful tips from our syllabus. Camp is limited to 12 families per session. This program is taught by student interns trained by FirstSwing.
Parent-Coach Clinics: FirstSwing offers professional training clinics for youth coaches at all levels. These 3-4 hour “hands-on” interactive learning sessions provide a basic overview of the game and how to teach it. The curriculum includes fundamental educational and teaching principles, as well as the mechanics of throwing, pitching, hitting, and fielding. These are excellent for the parent(s) that wish to teach their young ball player(s) the proper way to play the game and to maximize FUN!! FirstSwing has conducted Coaches Training Clinics for: Redmond West LL, Pacific LL, Marysville LL, Bellevue West LL, Federal Way leagues, Kirkland American and National LL, Evergreen LL, Alderwood LL, South Mukilteo LL, and others. FirstSwing will “custom build” a clinic to fulfill YOUR needs!
DARE YA!!: A parent-child baseball experience that teaches the game and is FUN! DARE YA! is the ultimate family bonding activity in baseball. Youngsters compete against their parent(s) as well as other family teams in challenging baseball skill tests. The skills are taught, practiced, and then each participant “tests” his/her learning in competitive exercises/events. Winners receive special medals and EVERYONE leaves with gifts and GREAT MEMORIES!!
